SERVICE AND SUPPORT ADMINISTRATION

Service and Support Administrators (SSAs) help individuals and families to develop a plan of supports addressing needs & outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Service coordination, or the management and monitoring of a person’s individualized services, is carried out through our Service and Support Administrators (SSAs).

Service coordination is provided to eligible individuals at no cost, allowing people to focus on what is important in their lives. Support services can include: residential, employment, transportation, etc.

What is an SSA?

Service and Support Administrators (SSA) help individuals (over the age of 3) and families to develop a plan of supports addressing needs and outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities. SSAs are the primary point of service coordination and will help individuals identify and receive services they need for a healthy and safe lifestyle.

What do SSAs do?

> Assist in connecting individuals to community
resources/services that they need.
> Assist individuals and families in developing goals and outcomes.
> Focus on independence, skill building, employment and limiting barriers.
> Address needs related to health and safety issues.
> Encourage participation in the community and citizenship responsibilities.
> Assist individuals through the free choice of provider selection process.
> Coordinate services and supports between an
individual’s paid providers and natural supports.
> Provide ongoing ISP coordination to ensure that services are delivered as outlined in an individual’s plan and are meeting their needs and satisfaction.
